How I work
My approach is that of a trusted friend – candid and caring. You can read reviews of my work here.
My work has developed a lot over the years. Nowadays I provide sales strategy and coaching services, helping boutique consultancy firms grow sales.
I’ve been a ‘thinking partner’ and consultant developer for over 25 years and there are dozens of short testimonials for my work here.
- Group process consulting with large commercial organisations. I facilitated high-stakes meetings – so leadership teams made better decisions together
- Training and coaching thousands of consultants and sales professionals in business development practices that worked for them.
My better known corporate clients included Cisco, SAP, Gartner, PwC, Hewlett Packard, GlaxoSmithKline, and Unilever.
Before that, my “in the trenches” corporate career
I was a top performing, award-winning, sales executive and sales leader in IT services. My experience encompassed both key account management and new business, with typical deal sizes around the £1M mark. Before moving into sales I was a slightly geeky Application Software and ERP consultant.
Outside of work I enjoy nothing more than training my dogs, baking bread and occasionally wielding a chainsaw (I’m certified). I’m currently renovating a 150-year-old house with my wife Lynn and looking forward to living in a dust free environment at some stage in the future.
