Have you got a sales prevention officer?
You know the one.
They can't be bothered.
Sales inquiries get in their way.
Gossip, Instagram, and Personal Calls,
seem to get their attention first.
They're not focused on the lifeblood
of your business.
I write this as a buyer.
Making an inquiry (today)
Asking details.
Big ticket price item.
High-stakes procurement
And being told by your rep...
"it's sold as seen"
Nothing else.
WTF
Engaging buyers.
Answering questions.
Supplying relevant information.
Making the buyer welcome, and confident.
That's their job.
And when you hear them complain,
about the tough market conditions,
and how low their bonus was last month.
You now know why.
But excuse me if my sympathy runs shallow.
You're the boss, it's your firm, you can show them what you want. And that's not difficult if you set standards.
Here's the minimum you must expect:
Be helpful.
Go the extra mile.
Make the sale possible.
Do they understand that, and why?
Seems that some don't.
And that's your problem.
