I hit my fingernail with a hammer 🔨

And there is learning potential in everything!

Here's what the accident taught me ...

So the backstory is I'm building new stairs as part of my house restoration. And I had almost finished when I bashed myself with the hammer. It hurt ... a lot.

And it's not the first time I've done this and I knew what to do.

Swear. Get to a bathroom. Cold water tap.

But that's not the learning I wanted to highlight.

I'm sitting here right now and my fingernail is throbbing, reminding me of the hammer's impact.

Now you can probably see where I'm going with this ...

Set out to make a difference when you're communicating something important. Aim for more than an immediate reaction. Drive a deep emotional impact that keeps people aware and noticing well in the future.

Imagine you push a needle into someones skin. That will get their attention and an immediate reaction. Now imagine hiting that needle with a hammer ...

Now you got it.

And you'll probably remember this story for at least a few days too 😃

Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly. John

Molly vs the Machines

Monetising misery. A machine for manipulating behaviour. Global architecture of surveillance. Computational governance. -//- Yesterday I watched Molly vs the Machines on Channel 4 catch up. I feel it's a must watch for anyone with children. The phrases above are four of many I wrote down, used
