How to approach writing on LinkedIn.
Here are 3 simple rules I follow:

⇢ Write with a specific person in mind.
⇢ Write what you have to say to that person.
⇢ Write about issues, pressures, and goals they'll recognise.

Sure, I could post photos of my dog every day.
Or I could post about company events, success, and news.

But that’s just ‘me-focused’ broadcasting.
Would those posts really be useful to others?

That's why I write here.
To pay it forward. Be useful.

To get started I wrote to a younger self.
Writing tips I wished someone had offered me.

Nowadays I'm inspired by my client conversations.
Passing on that wisdom, sharing ideas, and curating content.

But still with a specific person in mind.
Someone who is going to benefit from my words.

Here's a challenge, if you want to get started writing on LinkedIn.
Just practice those three rules above for 30 days and see what you get.

Let me know."

Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly. John
