A particularly insidious tactic is the Manchurian Candidate strategy.

The competitor compromises and grooms an individual to infiltrate a firm and rise to power.

They might ultimately securing a CEO or executive role.

This embedded operative is in a position of power to:
↳ gradually steer the company toward failure.
↳ leak proprietary technology.
↳ make strategic decisions that benefit their true handlers.

With influence over mergers, security protocols, and R&D investments, a compromised CEO can cripple innovation, expose vulnerabilities, and shift industry dominance without suspicion.
