and not enough on their client's business issues.

IT consultants are guilty of this when they lead with a technology expertise …

I'm an < SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Azure AWS, etc > consultant.

Other consultants suffer the same fate when they identify with a specific discipline ...

I'm a < Change Management, Innovation, Executive Coaching, Strategic Marketing, etc > consultant.

And that's how they build influential relationships and win the most exciting projects.
