Are you just a hired hand or a strategic ally?

Too often, consultants are treated like task-doers instead of problem-solvers.

But what if you could rewrite the playbook?

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀:
Some clients don’t know how to use consultants properly. They treat them as extra hands, not strategic allies.

𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁'𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆.

→ "Here’s the task" → "What's the goal we need to achieve?"
→ "Just solve this" → "Let's solve it 𝗮𝗻𝗱 tackle the root issue."
→ "Deliver a product" → "What do you need to feel empowered in the future?"

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁?
Hired Help = Short-term fixes, limited value.
Strategic Partners = Big-picture thinking, sustainable impact.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸:
1️⃣ Set expectations early.
2️⃣ Foster collaboration over delegation.
3️⃣ Empower clients to leverage expertise.

𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀:
Co-creation → "Let’s design the solution together."

Transparency → "Here’s what’s working—and what isn’t."

Knowledge transfer → "We teach you to thrive independently."

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹?
Not just to solve problems. Empower clients to succeed long-term.

♟️ How are you reframing the consulting relationship?

P.S. Share this with a colleague.

Think Different

I love it when there's a seemingly Unreasonable Agenda. The Apple Think Different campaign epitomised this. Just look at the change makers: Albert Einstein: Questioned absolute space-time. Bob Dylan: Reimagined song meanings poetically. Martin Luther King Jr.: Envisioned equality beyond segregation. Richard Branson: Ignored business conventions fearlessly. John

Posting regularly on LinkedIn one starts to appreciate the different social engagement circles. You've got your lurkers. They follow but never engage. You've got your collectors. They connect to boost their numbers, but aren't truly interested. You've got your barnacles (HT Dean

Molly vs the Machines

Monetising misery. A machine for manipulating behaviour. Global architecture of surveillance. Computational governance. -//- Yesterday I watched Molly vs the Machines on Channel 4 catch up. I feel it's a must watch for anyone with children. The phrases above are four of many I wrote down, used
