Every successful person I know has several outside interests.
A break from their relentless business focus.

- Lego’s and Triathlon.
- Guitar and Touch Rugby.
- Bodging and Boomerangs.
- Needlecraft and Preaching.

My last decade's interest.
The Victorian House where my wife was born.
Every moment refurbishing it has been a delight.

There’s a physically satisfaction.
Which makes the whole affair addictive.
That’s hard to describe to knowledge workers.

A house constructed in 1864.
Think about the Victorian builders.
No power tools or motorised transport.

Since then period features - stripped out.
The 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s took their toll.
Clashing tastes, dated decor, indoors bathroom.

10 years later - finished.
The house is rock and roll cosy.
A surprise to everyone who walks in.

The devil is in the blended detail.
Hopefully that's a sort of Quirky-Scandi.

Where do you see the devil in the detail?

Molly vs the Machines

Monetising misery. A machine for manipulating behaviour. Global architecture of surveillance. Computational governance. -//- Yesterday I watched Molly vs the Machines on Channel 4 catch up. I feel it's a must watch for anyone with children. The phrases above are four of many I wrote down, used
